The New York Mercury reported that "Geo. Fisher has been released from the Eries, and also joined the [Live] Oaks" (June 23, 1877, pg. 7). He appears in box scores of at least two games, on June 2 against Tecumseh and on June 4 against Indianapolis, in that same issue.
