The St. Louis Player Database
Welcome to the St. Louis Player Database, a reference site with information on major
league baseball players who have played with a St. Louis club. Currently, the database
spans the years from 1871 to 2000. It includes career stats for all St. Louis players,
and for players who appeared with the Cardinals from 1970 onward, a notation about when
and how that player joined the organization, and when and how they left. As with any
project such as this, there are bound to be a few bugs, so please let me know if you
find any errors. For more about the database, click here.
The database can be searched by player or team, using the forms below. Please do not try
to dump too much information from the database at once - restrict your searches to a
specific season to reduce the load on the server.
Player search
To find the complete record for a specific player, enter as much information as you have
(last name and/or first name) in the form below.
Roster search
To get stats for the entire team for a specific year, choose the team and enter the year
below. If you enter a year outside of the valid range for the club, you will get the
stats for the first (or last) season that club existed.
Minor league database
This database also contains stats for the Cardinal minor league farm clubs from 1998
through 2001. As with the roster search above, choose a team and season. A year outside
the range for that club will be adjusted to the first or last season for that club in
the Cardinals minor league system.
