| The Whites came back after a few days of rest to open a three game series in St. Paul. After scoring once in the second on a double and a single, St. Paul scored twice in the third and four times in the fifth to take a 7-0 lead. The runs in the fifth were scored on three hits, two walks, and five stolen bases. St. Paul stole 9 bases in the game with Dolan catching. The Whites came back to score twice in the seventh on back-to-back errors and a single to make the score 7-2. In the ninth, Burch led off with a double and advanced to third on a missed third strike with Herr. Herr stole second. Burch scored and Herr advanced to third on a grounder by Hines, which the second baseman fumbled. Cantz hit a fly ball to right that was dropped by Carroll, and Herr scored, but Hines was thrown out advancing for the first out of the inning. Dolan was hit by a pitch and Staley got an infield hit, and the bases were loaded. Nicholson walked, scoring Cantz. Beckley grounded out, but Dolan scored. Crooks came up with two outs and runners on second and third. He hit a fly ball to right, and it seemed as if the Whites might win, but Carroll redeemed his error with a fine running catch, and the White lost 7-6. Staley struck out ten, but also walked three, hit three, and threw two wild pitches.
