More than 130 players were engaged by International Association clubs in 1877. Here is the complete list of the players who appeared in at least one game, as well as some who were associated with the clubs but did not appear in an official game. This list has been expanded to include players with clubs from the 1877 New England League. Two teams (Manchester and Lynn) participated in championship games in both leagues.

Edward Callahan joined the Buckeyes late in 1876. In the spring of 1877, there was a dispute between the Buckeyes and the Alaskas of New York as to whom had signed Callahan for the 1877 season. He ended up with Columbus for the season.

The Sporting Life reported in 1890 that he had been killed in a railway accident in 1878 or 1879 (June 21, 1890, pg. 6).
